"Walkable" means something in the real world. This is the IsoTim contour map from 20 minutes to 45 minutes for Chez Moi on foot. Note the path distortion for a) the freeway bridges on the right border and b) the fenced country club at the lower left.
For the New Urbanist junkies out there: There are FOUR trendy retail areas and no less than THREE independant film theaters within the 50 min contour. (Not to mention the college campus.)

I had to comment on this older post. I went to a bike store around your area today and they are trying to get a movement going for the Dallas cities to be more bike friendly, etc. I mentioned you to the lady backing the movements and she became very interesting in meeting with you and discussing ideas. (I told her about you and your studies concerning walkability and the like.) Gave them your website so you might be hearing from them :)
