Loft Theater: Unintended Consequences

The Mid-November party resurrected itself with a mystery. Seven cast, 25 guests, a better mix this time. Lighting cues remain a big problem – of course, so do so many things when you don’t rehearse. This time I definitely learned the lesson to write flexible, multiple scripts. The sock puppet was a surprising favorite, Goethe and all, and might have to be reprised at some point just to keep the public happy. Not climbing stairs during the performance turned out to be a good decision, as life and limb were not endangered and everything seemed to work. The three stages were surprisingly effective, but how to close the curtains?
Much thanks to Becca Dixon, Chris Cole, Stu Tidball (the detective was the best yet,) Sasha Morel, Bill Merritt for his last-minute tour de force, and especially Paul Hamilton for being willing to take on the much-beloved Sock. A good time had by all.
Any suggestions for the next one?
